This flag is made from ribbons sporting the Austrian mountain flower - Edelweiss. Edelweiss is indigenous to Austria and grows above the Alpine timberline. It often provokes images and memory of the Austrian Alps especially because of the Rodgers and Hammerstein song of the same name from the musical, 'The Sound of Music'. The fringe of this flag is souvenir cowbells. Unfortunately in all photos it is impossible to see the 50 Swarovski crystals that are scattered within the star field.
